Mt. Penn Fire Company

Fall has arrived!

It’s been a long summer at Station 1 with our dayroom renovations. Hot & humid too as the “temporary” dayroom was out on the apparatus floor which doesn’t have air conditioning. The crew made do with a fan or two to keep air moving. Not very relaxing at all!

Now we can see the end is in sight. Only a few more small details need to be completed in the next few weeks and we can “officially” move back into the comfortable part of the station. It’s been a few contractors, quite a bit of new materials and untold hours of time and dedication from the truck crew that have brought us to this point. Special thanks to everybody and also to State Senator Judy Schwank for their assistance in this project which will serve us well for many years to come!
