On August 8, 2016 at 9:30p.m. Mt. Penn and Lower Alsace (Co4) were dispatched to 2311 Grant St. for a reported vehicle fire.  Deputy 1 (Wertz) arrived first and confirmed a working fire on Beech St. about 4 feet from the Mt. On October 17 shortly after 1:30a.m. Mt. The mission of the Mt. Penn Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of the people of Mt Penn from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Rescue services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a 100% Volunteer work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
