Mt. Penn Fire Company

GOODBYE 2016!

Well, 2016 has finally come to an end!  It’s been quite a ride and hopefully everybody can look back, take a deep breath and move ahead to 2017.

It’s also been quite a year for the volunteers at Mt. Penn.  We answered a new record high of calls this past year although the number of “working fires” was down.  In between there have been crashes, carbon monoxide alarms, public service calls and fire alarms along with a little bit of everything else sprinkled in for good measure.  The old Rescue 1 went to its new home in Western PA and the new Rescue 1 arrived and should be in service shortly after the new year.  Training in a multitude of fire related subjects has continued through the year and we have welcomed some new members to the ranks.  We look forward to a bright and productive 2017 with the continued support of our members, Mt. Penn Boro council and the public.  Thank you and be safe as you bring in 2017!
