On January 8 just before 4p.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as RIT on the second alarm to 14015 Kutztown Rd at MAS Imports to assist at a working structure fire. The first arriving units had been sent there for a passerby reporting smoke coming from the building and after gaining entry found fire throughout the first floor. A water supply was established using a hydrant and several tankers and the fire was knocked down after the building had been briefly evacuated. The exact cause remains under investigation but is believed to be electrical in nature. The Mt. Penn crew was able to return to station shortly after 5p.m.
