Mt. Penn Fire Company

A brief look back

Now that the dust has settled from the holiday season and the new year is underway, we had some time to compile some information from 2023.

The Mt. Penn fire company had their busiest year ever with 727 calls, an increase of 44 from 2022. These calls comprised everything from structure fires to assisting the police department. July alone, with the severe storm that seriously impacted the area was responsible for 89 calls, mostly flood related.

As we move into 2024 we want to thank the public and our elected officials for their continued support of the fire company. A HUGE shout out to the men and women of the truck crew who gave willingly of their time and talent in handling these incidents while also taking care of a major renovation to our dayroom and office spaces at the firehouse. Thousands of man hours were spent getting things done in 2023!
