Departments endure tragic losses

The members of the Mt. Penn Fire Company extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the City of Reading Fire Department on the unexpected and sudden loss of their brother firefighter Matthew Schneck who passed on June 25.

We would also like to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Shillington Fire Department on the loss of their brother firefighter Timothy Moll who passed unexpectedly on June 24.

These events are very difficult for any department to go through.  We ask that everybody keep those who serve in these departments in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks as they do their best to work through a very difficult time and still provide emergency services to the public.
