Mt. Penn Fire Company

Regretful News

The Mt. Penn Fire Company is deeply saddened and regrets to announce the passing of our current president and past fire chief Barry (The Godfather) Vogt on October 1st, 2025.

Barry began with Mt. Penn in 1963 long before most of us at Station 1 were around. He held various positions within the fire company throughout his many years of dedicated service to the community he cared so much about, most recently as our long time company president. He was a great friend and mentor to many at the station and around the area over the years and could always be counted on for his unwavering support and sound advice that he always delivered in that calm and reassuring tone of his. You will be greatly missed!
