Tuesday was a busy day for Mt. Penn crews and we got to see the weather change from icy roads to pouring rain and wind to some sun and all the temperature changes in between.
The day was started shortly before 2a.m. with a call for the ladder and engine to assist Co 25 (Exeter) on a possible structure fire at the Home Depot on Perkiomen Ave. [...]
On November 10 about 10:45a.m. the rescue truck was dispatched to assist Lower Alsace (Co4) in the area of Antietam Rd. & Lewis Rd. for a vehicle crash with unknown injuries. On arrival crews found a small SUV that had struck the guard rail and then went over the embankment, coming to rest at the shoreline of Antietam Lake. Fortunately [...]
On June 29 just after 10am Utility 1 was dispatched to respond with the County spill trailer to Route 422 West & Daniel Boone Rd in Exeter Township to assist Company 25 on a vehicle crash with a large fuel leak. The Exeter crews had arrived earlier and extricated the driver of a dump truck after he had struck the rear of a tractor trail [...]
