The other week State Representative Mark Rozzi visited Station 1, along with residents and several boro officials, to officially present the check to the fire company that made the new Utility 1 possible. The new utility is much more capable and suited to our needs and replaces the original unit which is 20+ years old. Although the check was dated over a year ago when we were informed that we had been awarded the money, the pandemic slowed down “official” things to a snail’s pace. Along with the brief ceremony those present enjoyed dinner and dessert as well.
