Due to the lack of any rainfall for over a month now, Alsace Township, Mt. Penn Boro and Lower Alsace Township have enacted a total burn ban UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. This means that you are not allowed to burn anything or have any type of outside fire, including backyard fire pits, chimineas and the like. Gas grills and charcoal grills for cooking are exempt. Any and all fires will be extinguished, and you may be subject to fines and penalties from your respective municipality.
