The past 2 weeks have been busy for the guys and girls at the fire company.
We have been to several fire prevention events at local schools where this year’s theme of “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” was reinforced with hundreds of young students in our coverage area. They also got to see fire apparatus up close and ask questions of the firefighters about the important work we do. They received quite a bit of good information to share with their parents.
This past week focus shifted to attending several of the local “Trunk or Treat” events held in our area with our fellow first responders. Quite a bit of candy and treats were handed out to the well costumed participants!
In between all of this we handled many calls that ranged from fire alarms to medical assists, structure fires (including a well involved large shed), wires down, a haz-mat incident involving a ruptured home oil tank and a search for lost hikers. Quite the variety indeed!
Just remember that none of this would have been possible without your continued support and the dedication of our truck crew. THANK YOU EVERYBODY!
