On September 25th about 12:45p.m. Spill 1 was dispatched to assist the City of Reading for an oil spill on Riverfront Drive at Penske Beach. First arriving units found 100+ gallons of oil in the river and called for additional help. Crews deployed containment booms in the water to contain the oil. The incident was turned over to the Sewer Authority on their arrival. Units were able to clear shortly before 1:30p.m.
