Busy weekend at Mt. Penn
It was quite the busy few days over this past weekend at Mt. Penn. Aside from a few calls here and there, dayroom renovations are complete except for a few small details. Rescue 1 assisted with lighting at Rita’s for a Friday night fundraiser in honor and memory of a well-known local resident who recently passed away too soon. W [...]

Fall has arrived!

Fall has arrived!
It’s been a long summer at Station 1 with our dayroom renovations. Hot & humid too as the “temporary” dayroom was out on the apparatus floor which doesn’t have air conditioning. The crew made do with a fan or two to keep air moving. Not very relaxing at all! Now we can see the end is in sight. Only a fe [...]

Water, water everywhere

Water, water everywhere
On July 9th our area experienced severe and prolonged rain starting in the early afternoon and continuing until evening which quickly caused Antietam Creek to overflow which appears to be the root cause of most of the problems that arose in the Antietam area.
