Mt. Penn Fire Company

Alsace Crash

On October 17 shortly before 7:30p.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched along with Lower Alsace (Co4), Oley (Co5) and Exeter (Co25) to Antietam Rd. in the area of Simmons Rd. for a vehicle crash with injuries. On arrival a car was found to have struck a tree about 10ft off the road with all occupants out. The driver was injured and transported to the hospital by Lower Alsace EMS (Sq555). Crews powered down the vehicle and stood by until the tow company was able to remove it. Units were able to clear shortly before 9p.m. The crash is being investigated by the State Police Reading Barracks.

Penn Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of the people of Mt Penn from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Rescue services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a 100% Volunteer work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
