Early morning assists to Exeter

On January 7tth just before 7a.m. Engine 1 was dispatched, along with other mutual aid companies to the 1200 block of Dauphin Pl. in eastern Exeter Township to assist with a working structure fire with entrapment. First arriving units found a well involved home and struck a second alarm for more manpower. Several lines were used to extinguish the fire while other crews were opening up. Units began to be released shortly after 8a.m. Unfortunately the resident was found deceased inside the home. The cause of this fire remains under investigation by Exeter Twp. Police and the PA State Police Fire Marshal.
