Mt. Penn Fire Company

Early morning Alsace crash

On July 7 shortly before 5a.m. Mt. Penn, Muhlenberg (Co66) and Laureldale (Co13) were dispatched to the 2000 block of McKnight’s Gap Rd for a vehicle crash with unknown injuries. On arrival Chief 13 (Feltenberger) reported a vehicle into the woods with the occupants out. EMS evaluated the patient who had no apparent injuries and refused treatment. Units powered down the vehicle and stood by as the tow company pulled it from the woods and loaded it onto their truck. Companies were able to clear shortly after 5:30a.m. The crash is under investigation by the PA State Police Reading.

Penn Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of the people of Mt Penn from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Rescue services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a 100% Volunteer work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
