Mt. Penn Fire Company

Early structure response

On December 28 at 2:39a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched, along with other companies to assist Lower Alsace (Co4) with a reported structure fire at Jake’s Laundry in the 700 block of Carsonia Ave.  Arriving units found an in use dryer that had caught fire causing a smoke condition throughout the building.  The fire was contained to the dryer and quickly extinguished.  Crews vented the building with fans and were able to begin clearing the scene at 3:30a.m.

Our Mission

The mission of the Mt. Penn Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of the people of Mt Penn from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Rescue services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a 100% Volunteer work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
