Mt. Penn Fire Company

Exeter Crash

On September 12 just after 10p.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched, along with several other companies, to assist Exeter Twp(Co25) with a reported structure fire after a vehicle pursuit and crash at Apollo Pools in the township.  First arriving units found a vehicle into the building with fluids and unknown chemicals down.  The fire had been knocked down by an extinguisher and fire personnel completed extinguishment.  No extension was found on further checking as crews ventilated the building.  Collapse 95(Boyertown) was special called to provide equipment to shore up the area where the wall was breached.  Once this was accomplished and the vehicle removed by the tow company units were able to begin clearing the scene.  Mt. Penn returned to station shortly after 1a.m.  This incident is being investigated by the PA State Police.
