Mt. Penn Banquet

On March 23rd the crew from Mt. Penn along with family and friends took a break and gathered at the Hilton Double Tree in Reading for their dinner and awards banquet.  Awards were presented for length of service and  completion of fire school classes as well as a Unit Citation to several members for actions which saved a woman’s life from a fire on Perkiomen Ave. in January.  A special award was presented to former Deputy Chief Jeff Wertz for his years of dedicated service to the fire company.  We enjoyed an excellent dinner along with entertainment.  Many thanks to our standby companies from Blandon and Pine Grove who covered for us so we could enjoy our evening without worries!
