On May 21st just before 10p.m. Ladder 1 was dispatched, along with several other companies, to assist Oley(Co5) with a reported structure fire at 154 Moravian School Rd. Arriving units reported smoke from the eaves of an attached garage. Further investigation revealed smoke and high heat on the second level of the garage and a working fire was called. Ladder 1 made it up the driveway along with Engine 5 and Rescue/Engine 25 while other personnel had to hike a bit. A supply line was laid up the driveway from the road. As the engine companies went after the fire, the Ladder 1 crew along with some Exeter(Co25) personnel placed several ground ladders and opened 2 holes in the roof for ventilation which greatly improved interior conditions. The fire was quickly extinguished with one line and crews spent some time performing overhaul on this warm and humid night. All units were able to begin clearing the scene just before midnight.
