On August 6 at 6:20p.m. the rescue was dispatched to assist Lower Alsace(Co4) on a vehicle crash at Hill Rd. & Glen Rd. Arriving units found 2 vehicles in the intersection with several people injured. Deputy 4-1(Mountz) directed Engine 4 to handle the vehicles and Rescue 1 to assist EMS with patient care. Additional ambulances were called in from Lower Alsace and the City of Reading Fire Department to care for and transport what became 5 patients to Reading Hospital for treatment. Crews remained on scene to handle fluids down and assist the tow company with removal of both vehicles. The rescue was able to clear shortly after 7p.m.
