Tuesday is Variety Day

On January 23rd just before 11a.m Mt. Penn was dispatched along with Lower Alsace (Co4), Exeter(Co25), Reading City, Birdsboro(Co7) and Oley(Co5) for a reported structure fire at 11 Penn Mawr Ct. in Mt. Tuesday night training was interrupted just before 8p.m. when the Rescue was dispatched to the 3700 block of St. Lawrence Ave. to assist Exeter(Co25) with an unknown vehicle crash, vehicle into a pole.  The arriving crews found one vehicle that had struck and brought down a pole with the driver suffering minor injuries.  The vehicle was powered down and oil dry applied to spilled fluids.

As the rescue was clearing the St. Lawrence crash, Mt. Penn was dispatched for a medical assist on Grandview Ave. in the borough for a 30ish year old male who was unresponsive.  The crew assisted the ambulance with patient care and packaging and then removed him from the house to the ambulance.  They were able to return by 9p.m.
