On May 23rd, shortly before 8a.m. Rescue 1 was dispatched to assist Alsace Manor (Co8) at a reported vehicle crash with injuries at Friedensburg Rd. & Spies Church Rd. in Alsace Twp. (5 Points). Berks Communications advised responding units that multiple vehicles were involved and several people had injuries. Arriving crews found 3 vehicles had crashed and a second ambulance was requested. Mt. Penn crews assisted with treating the injured people and powering down and securing the involved vehicles. Crews were able to clear the scene in within an hour.
