Assist to Amity on Water Rescue

Shortly after 5p.m. on July 11th the ladder was requested to respond to Toll Gate Rd & Old Swede Rd to assist Amity Twp units as well as water rescue teams for a car that was swept off the road by the torrential rains that primarily took place East of Reading during the afternoon and evening.  The ladder was set up so that water rescue personnel could use it to get close to the vehicle and assess the condition of the patient who was then removed by boat to safety and evaluated by EMS.  Units were able to clear just before 7p.m.
