On February 7 just before 9:30a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as the RIT company to assist Birdsboro (Co7) on a reported structure fire at the Birdsboro Carwash at 300 Armorcast Rd. On arrival Engine 7 reported a working fire in the automatic wash bay. They quickly got the fire knocked down and once Ladder 1 arrived RIT was no longer needed so the crew was put to work checking for extension and assisting with final extinguishment. The exact cause remains under investigation. All units were able to return by 10:30a.m.
