E1 handles dumpster fire at Turkey Hill

On January 17 just before 11:30am Mt. Penn was dispatched for a reported dumpster on fire at the Turkey Hill, 2450 Perkiomen Ave. in the borough.  Once Assistant 1 (Eisenhard) arrived he confirmed a working fire which was contained to the dumpster.  On the arrival of E1 they pulled one line to extinguish the fire.  Damage was minimal and contained to the dumpster.  All units were clear in less than 30 minutes.

Penn Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of the people of Mt Penn from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Rescue services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a 100% Volunteer work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
