Exeter Structure Fire

On March 30th just after 6p.m. Ladder 1 was dispatched, along with several other companies, to assist Exeter(Co25) on a reported structure fire at 206 Sunrise Rd. It was initially reported as a kitchen fire and multiple additional calls to county while units were enroute indicated a working fire with possible entrapment. A second alarm was struck. The first arriving units found heavy smoke and fire from the rear of the home with everybody evacuated. Several lines were stretched to the first and second floor to knock down the fire while ventilation was being done. The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 20 minutes with it being placed under control before 7p.m. Units remained on scene performing extensive overhaul with units beginning to be released just before 8p.m. The cause of this fire is under investigation.
