Mt. Penn Fire Company

Exeter Structure

On May 2 shortly after midnight Mt. Penn was dispatched with several other companies to assist Exeter(Co25) on a reported structure fire with entrapment in Brice Villa just behind the Turkey Hill.  Arriving units had heavy fire showing and quickly pulled multiple lines to knock it down.  There were serious exposure problems with the homes being so close together but crews managed to keep the flames from spreading.  Unfortunately the resident was discovered deceased during a search.  Units remained on scene for several hours performing overhaul and assisting the State Police Fire Marshall.  Mt. Penn units were able to clear by 3:30a.m.   The exact cause remains under investigation.
