L1 assist Robeson on reported structure fire

On February 24 at approximately 4:45p.m. L1 was dispatched along with Geigertown, Exeter, Monocacy and Birdsboro to assist Gibralter with a reported structure fire at 1666 Golf Course Rd. in Robeson Township.  Deputy 23 (Favinger) arrived first and reported a working fire.  Exeter’s engine and L1 were able to make access up the steep and narrow driveway while other units on the road provided a water supply and additional personnel.  One line was pulled to extinguish the fire which was mostly contained to the exterior wall of a newer addition with minor extension into the wall space.  The entire structure had a light smoke condition inside which was vented with the help of an exhaust fan.  All companies were able to clear the scene just after 6p.m.  The cause of this fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshall.
