On Friday December 23rd Mt. Penn received a special call to assist Santa Claus with the delivery of gifts and Christmas cheer to a needy family. The engine and utility made the response with Mr. Claus aboard about 7:30p.m. and arrived within a few minutes. Greetings were exchanged and gifts were distributed. Santa even had time to chat and hear some special requests before having to leave so there was time for him to make it back to the North Pole and finish his preparations for Christmas. Units were able to clear shortly after 8p.m.
