On April 12 just before 10a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched along with Lower Alsace (Co4) to Carsonia Ave. & Weimoor Ct. in the boro for a vehicle crash with one vehicle reported into a tree. Arriving units found one vehicle had lost control for an unknown reason and struck a parked car and then struck a large tree. The driver sustained a head injury and was transported by EMS to the hospital. Units handled minor fluids down and then stood by until the tow company was able to remove both vehicles. Units were able to clear by 10:30a.m. This crash is under investigation by Central Berks Police.
