On July 11th just after 3:15p.m. Rescue 1 was dispatched to assist Alsace Manor (Co 8) on a vehicle crash with unknown injuries in the area of 460 Antietam Rd. Chief 8 (Becker) arrived and reported a trash truck vs a pole with no apparent injuries and live wires down. Rescue 8 and 1 crews were able to secure the area and checked the other poles as well as the homes in the area for damage caused by the wires being pulled down. Once township crews and additional fire police arrived Mt. Penn was released shortly before 4p.m. Alsace Manor remained on the scene until Met-Ed arrived to repair the damage.
