Mt. Penn Fire Company

Steady September

Although it’s only the first week of the month, Mt. Penn has been kept busy with a little bit of everything the past 4 days from a reported crash with entrapment, possible structure fires, medical assists and making the trip to standby in Shoemakersville which led to being called, along with other standby companies, to the tragic fire on S. 4th St. in Hamburg to assist the tired crews there with overhaul.

We would like to remind everybody to be safe with all that you are doing, whether it be cooking on the grill or in the kitchen, working in the yard or driving on the roads.  A few extra minutes of preparation and care could be the difference between sleeping in your own bed at night or spending it in the hospital or worse.  Let’s be safe everyday!
