Vehicle crash in Mt. Penn

mtpennlogo

On April 5 just after 5p.m.  Mt. Penn was dispatched along with Lower Alsace (Co4) to the 300 block of Carsonia Ave. for a vehicle crash.  Asst. 1 (Eisenhard) arrived quickly and reported 2 vehicles but no patient as the driver had fled the scene.  On further investigation it was found to be one vehicle that had lost control and crashed into a parked car which in turn struck another parked car and so on down the block for a total of 5 involved vehicles.  R1 & E4 arrived and controlled the fluids running down the street as well as disconnecting the batteries from the vehicles while fire police diverted traffic around the scene.  Crews remained on scene until the tow company removed 3 of the vehicles with serious damage while the other 2 were turned over to their owners.  The police are continuing with their investigation of this incident.
