Vehicle crash kicks off August

On August 1 just before 11a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched to assist Lower Alsace (Co4) on a vehicle crash in the 500 block of Friedensburg Rd. with one vehicle reported on its roof.  Arriving units found 2 vehicles involved, one had been parked and the striking vehicle was on its roof just up the street.  The occupants were able to get out themselves and were evaluated by Lower Alsace EMS (Squad 555) at the scene.  Crews secured power to both and applied oil dry to fluids spilled on the road after they were removed by the tow company.  This crash is under investigation by Central Berks police.
