2 Alarm Structure in Robeson Twp

Today at 6:30a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as the RIT company, along with several other mutual aid companies, to the 700 block of White Bear Rd in Robeson Township for a reported structure fire with entrapment. First arriving units had heavy smoke and fire showing and a report of 3 people unaccounted for. A second alarm was quickly struck to bring more help to the scene. Initial units on scene were able to quickly locate and remove all 3 residents who were transported to the hospital for treatment. All first alarm companies were immediately put to work to extinguish the house fire as well as the detached garage to the rear that was also well involved. The second alarm companies provided additional manpower. Crews dealt with heavy fire conditions for almost an hour before bringing the fire under control. Extensive overhaul was performed and units were able to begin being released about 9a.m. This fire is under investigation by the PA State Police Fire Marshal.

Penn Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of the people of Mt Penn from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Rescue services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a 100% Volunteer work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
