Shortly after 1a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as the RIT company, along with several other mutual aid companies, to the 3200 block of Morgantown Rd. in Robeson Township for a reported structure fire with entrapment which was called in by a Robeson Township police officer. First arriving units had heavy smoke and fire showing and a report of 2 people unaccounted for. A second alarm was quickly struck to bring more help to the scene. Units that arrived first were able to remove both occupants from the home and they were turned over to EMS for immediate transport to RHMC trauma center for treatment. Crews dealt with heavy fire conditions for almost an hour before the fire was declared under control. Extensive overhaul was performed and units were able to begin being released shortly after 4a.m. This fire is under investigation by the PA State Police Fire Marshal.
