Amity Township assist on Structure Fire

On August 8 at 7a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched along with Amity (Co’s 6 &49), Birdsboro (Co7) and Exeter (Co25) for a reported structure fire at 207 Woodbridge Lane near the Amity Gardens section of the township.  The residents had reported crackling behind a wall and the wall blackening around an air vent.  Arriving crews found a working fire in the loft area of the house which was brought under control within 30 minutes.  The township fire marshal investigated and the cause of the fire is reported to be electrical in nature.  Rescue 1 was able to return to station shortly after 8a.m.
