Early on June 21st the Mt. Penn Fire Company took delivery of the new Utility 1 from the New Holland Auto Group. It is a Ford F350 4 door with a full length bed and heavy duty slide out tray, ARE truck cap and a 5 man cab. We have some brainstorming to do about equipment mounting and placement in the coming weeks as well as having the truck lettered and radios installed. Driver training will follow and hopefully we will have this apparatus in service by late summer or early fall.
This apparatus is quite the upgrade from the current Utility 1 and will be more than adequate to serve the boro and surrounding area for many years to come.
