Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware – fire can happen anywhere.
This was the message for 2018 Fire Prevention Week which the crew took with them as they visited Antietam Academy, St. Catherine’s and the Mt. Penn Primary Center today. In addition to the message, the kids were able to see and hear a firefighter in full gear and SCBA. In the event something would happen this gives them a much better idea of what to expect as well as know they should not be afraid of the firefighter…..they are there to help! The children were also able to get a very up close look at the apparatus and all of the equipment that each one carries in order to do its job on the fire scene. We would like to thank the schools for allowing us to visit! Remember, everyday should be fire prevention day!
