On July 21 the day was concluded with Mt. Penn and Lower Alsace (Co4) being dispatched for a reported vehicle fire at 250 Endlich Ave. Lt. 1 (Lombardo) arrived and reported a working engine compartment fire. One line with a Navy nozzle was pulled from E1 to extinguish the fire which was held to the engine compartment. As a side note, for the first time in over 20 years a booster line was used to clean tools and give things a final wash. The Rescue is the only apparatus at Mt. Penn that is equipped with one. Both companies were able to clear and return to station before midnight.
