Lower Alsace Entrapment

On May 8th just after 7a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched to assist Lower Alsace(Co4) with a vehicle crash with entrapment at Carsonia Ave. and Woodland Ave. Two vehicles collided and one rolled onto its roof trapping the driver. Crews stabilized the car with cribbing and rescue struts, then removed both doors on the driver’s side to gain access. The patient was removed and turned over to EMS for transport. Fortunately injuries were minor. Crews remained on scene until just before 8:30a.m. when the tow company removed both vehicles and cleaned up debris. Central Berks Police are handling the investigation.
