On January 6, shortly before 6:30p.m Mt. Penn was dispatched, along with several other mutual aid companies to assist Lower Alsace(Co4) with a reported structure fire at 1881Mountain Top Rd. in the township. Additional information was a shed on fire with extension to the residence. First arriving units had a fully involved shed with extension to the exterior of the home. Two lines were pulled to extinguish the fire and protect the house. No further extension to the home was found although the shed was a total loss. Crews remained on scene for another hour performing overhaul before returning to station to thaw out after contending with a snow shower, icy roads and windy conditions.
