On June 13 just after 10:30a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched to the Mt. Penn Primary Center on N. 25th St. to investigate a reported collapse just inside the entrance doors. On arrival crews found the lobby area had collapsed into the floor below. Fortunately, all occupants, including construction workers were able to evacuate safely with no injuries reported. Collapse 95 was requested along with the boro engineer to assess the conditions. Working with the construction site supervisor appropriate plans to secure the area and prevent further collapse were set into place. All units were able to clear shortly before noon.
