Mt. Penn vehicle fire

Things have slowed down a bit this month but just after 3p.m. on December 23rd Mt. Penn was dispatched along with Lower Alsace (Co4) for a reported vehicle fire at 103 N. 23rd St. in the borough.  On the arrival of Lt. 1 (Lombardo) he confirmed a well involved engine compartment fire.  When E1 arrived they pulled the front bumper line and were able to make a quick knockdown of the fire as other firefighters opened the vehicle to check for extension into the passenger compartment.  The fire was placed under control shortly after with crews able to clear by 3:45 p.m.
