On July 14, shortly before 7p.m. the ladder was dispatched to 1344 Weavertown Rd. in Amity Twp. for a reported structure fire. Responding units were advised that it was a vehicle (skid loader) in the garage that was on fire. First arriving crews from Amity & Monocacy found a well involved garage fire with fire extending to the roof area. L1 provided RIT services until the fire was placed under control approximately 20 minutes later. There was no damage to the residence and it was determined that sparks or heat from welding work had caught the skid loader on fire.
