On August 15 shortly after 9p.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as the RIT company to assist Blandon (Co 12) with a reported structure fire at Lehigh Cement on Evansvile Rd. in Maidencreek Twp. First arriving crews had a fire in the dust collection unit at the rear of the complex which was extinguished with one line taken up Ladder 12. Crews were on the scene for just over an hour before returning to station.
